Quality Protects Children Ltd. was founded 20 years ago by myself, Tony Nolan, and my late brother Kevin. We chose the company name to reflect our experience in the sector that if you get the QUALITY right in terms of the right training, the right environment and right approach to care, then that provides the best foundation to protect children and young people.
- With extensive social work and teaching backgrounds, we realised that the provision for children in care was untargeted, poor quality and provided for the needs of staff rather than children.
- We originally started with two children’s homes located in the Liverpool area, now we have seven homes stretching all the way to Sheffield
We opened the regions first all black children’s home, catering for the over-representation of BAME children in the care system.
- We have worked extensively with young people involved in gangs and young people at risk of CSE, and the LGBT community. We provide LGBT and TRANS friendly environments
- We have successfully looked after 100’s of young people in over 19 years.
