QPC Pride Event – Nzuri

We held our 3rd Pride event at Nzuri, celebrating an old friend and co worker, Sharleen O’Neill, who was sadly taken away from us a number of years ago. We were blessed with a warm sunny day to celebrate our successes and celebrations and had a number of awards to announce in honour of Sharleen’s commitment and for individual achievements for Diversity, Quality and Inclusion.

All the children and young people worked hard and put in great effort to create pride floats. It was a difficult decision to judge the winner as everyone’s floats were equally creative and colourful.

1st place – Lawrence House.

Well done everyone for your hard work.

2nd and joint 3rd place floats.

We have been invited to speak at the Navajo LGBTIQA Awards and to accept an award for our commitment to LGBTIQA. And recently received an Outstanding from Leeds Beckett University for our commitment to Diversity, Quality and Inclusion.

Thank you to everyone who attended our event and for your support throughout the day. It was great to see children, young people and the community attend our our event and enjoying the celebrations.
